The preparation of the student to live in a rapidly changing society, requires of those interested in education to help him to adapt to this society, the rapid change through the opportunity in front of him and his training to solve the problems faced by himself, and can be achieved if we respect the ways of thinking and uncovered its potential by directing them to the way that make this student will be able to solve problems, and adapted to the environment in which they live.
The nature of this age desperately needs intellectuals to non-traditional, but intellectuals are characterized by the skills of high fit with this age because this age is the age of creativity, so increased attention in recent times (since the eighties and nineties) the subject of improvement and development of higher-order thinking among the students of schools at all stages , which is urged by the research and recent studies, and the recommendations of the urgent need for development.
This has led to the emergence of two directions in how to develop higher-order thinking skills for students (in general and not specific to a module).
* The first trend: the view that this is done through the lessons and special programs and specific in the development of higher-order thinking skills.
* The second trend: the view of the possibility of developing higher-order thinking skills through the daily quota of educational material.
